Policies and Guidelines

  • Please pay your tuition, on time, by the 1st of the month. Tuition received after the 1st will be charged a $25 late fee. Your tuition includes 30 private lessons and 18 group lessons occurring between Sept 1 --- May 30 and is divided into 9 equal monthly payments.

  • Please attend all lessons and group lessons;  If there is a lesson scheduled before yours, please feel free to come a few minutes early to observe, get settled, and use the restroom. Students who are late will not be guaranteed a full lesson.

  • Please keep the studio a “cellphone free zone” during the lesson unless being asked to record.

  • There are no make-up lessons. Please do not ask for a make-up.  If you must miss a lesson, you may trade lessons with another student using the schedule and phone list on the board in the waiting room. Please inform of any changes.

  • Let your teacher know as soon as possible if you must miss a lesson, out of courtesy.

  • Put LISTENING and REVIEW on the top of your priority list. This will help everything.

  • Read the white board every week in case there are announcements and/or reminders.

  • Parents are required to learn with children under age 13.

  • Students will be asked how they practiced each week

  • Please do not bring a sick child to a lesson or arrive ill yourself.  If your child is too sick for school, they are too sick to have a lesson. Your teacher will send sick students and parents home immediately.

  • E-mail or voicemail are the best ways to contact your teacher.  For sensitive issues that require a phone call, please contact your teacher in the mornings before 12:00 p.m.

  • If there’s something going on that your teacher needs to know about, let them know (the sooner the better as they will do the same for you.)

  • Please consider e-mailing your teacher to set up a conference about sensitive issues to see what can be improved rather than discuss them infront of your child and waste valuable lesson time.

  • Work hard.  Your teacher's assignments are NOT mere suggestions; they need to be carried out fully in order for your teacher to help the child to be the best they can be.

  • Read all of the materials your teacher gives you.  Materials are prepared with great care and your teacher needs you to stay informed.

  • Mark your calendar accurately to include all of our events and dates when there are no lessons.  Mark recital dates in big red letters. Stay aware of updates.

  • Bring all of your materials and prepare for lesson (i.e. notebook, technology to record practice videos, instruments, and books).

  • Please prioritize the violin lessons. Tuition pays for your reserved time in the studio schedule throughout the year. There are NO REFUNDS.

  • Lessons that is canceled by the teacher will be rescheduled.
